TF series uses the latest high-efficiency monocrystalline cells or Sunpower cells. Monocrystalline cells can achieve efficiencies of up to 22.8% and SunPower cells of up to 24.4%. This flexible solar panel has a higher conversion efficiency and can provide you with more power.

Most ETFE flexible panels deliver 6 years of full-sun service. Lab cycling tests show heat spots and edge-seal fatigue are the main failure modes; choose models with multi-branch diodes and marine-grade potting to push life toward the 5-year mark.
Pick modules with string-level bypass diodes or Sungold’s Anti-Shading circuit; power loss stays below 17 % when one section is blocked. Legacy single-string designs can drop to zero under the same shade.
In most cases, we do not recommend bonding standard flexible modules directly onto metal roofs. The metal substrate conducts heat, raising cell temperature and accelerating polymer aging. Roof installations must also satisfy fire-resistance, wind-uplift, and electrical-insulation codes, yet many lightweight panels lack certifications such as UL 790 / IEC 61730 (fire rating) and ASTM E330 (wind load).
If lightweight, curved mounting is essential, choose a product that has passed UL 94 V-0 flame rating, IEC 61701 salt-mist, and UL 1703 Class A fire tests—for example, the Sungold PA219 flexible panel—and pair it with dedicated insulating pads plus mechanical fasteners rather than relying solely on adhesives.
